Weird. Everyone else I was talking to was using skills and I couldn't cast any. But once I went to my HK I could. When I went back to my wiz I couldn't again. -waits and sees what happens-

This just happened to me too. Just logged in, pulled a mob, couldn't cast my aoe. EDIT: Already re-patched... nothing helped. Too tired to re-install the entire game atm but if that's what it comes down to I will unless it's something out of our control.

To add, dv6 notebook graphic cards sometimes aren't strong enough to properly run a game. Before you login, at the launcher, put all settings to the lowest of everything possible. And see if that helps. Otherwise you can try to check the compatibility for your pc and see the results of it.

Ran as admin and added the entire core folder to your exceptions list in your anti-virus and firewall? I had this problem a while ago. For some reason it was just completely denying it from getting past the launcher. Once I did that it worked. Idk.

You can farm any of the lower level "bosses" for the lower level sets. Or when you cap, you have malephar, some other instance they came out with (idk since i haven't played), and Karen which I don't think anyone's been able to kill yet. You can also farm mag in OLT or Black Shadows in ToS for ojs. The raids aren't THAT hard so it should be relatively easy with a 5 man party. Just make sure your tank can handle the dmg, or glad whichever you choose. Don't know about perms. I don't think many people do. Never made one myself. For capped players, you have your lab set obviously obtained in lab, malephar set, LN set, typical sets as expected. ML, SL weps, and Karen weps also once people are able to kill her. Idk of any guilds. Guildless at the moment since I haven't played. There are a couple guilds that have some active people in it you can probably find in the guild section on these forums. A brief summary of this entire server, cap is 105. At cap, you can either do ML, SL, farm Magritte, or just mess around in fbz which is what a great portion of us have been doing since there's not much to do until cap is raised. Hopefully once cap is raised, we will have more options to choose from. You might want to farm yourself a lower leveled set that can benefit your char at cap when it comes to set switching also. Most cs items are ig. Also, every hour you stay logged in-game, you earn i think 50 cs points towards whatever you want. There is a skin raid(?) I think for higher levels in Dark Land which might be worth a try if you find a couple people to help out. From what I've heard though, it takes forever to kill the mobs in there. Til then, just make friends, level, and build up your char. You learn more from experience and leveling. Any other questions I'm sure others will be posting on this too. Or I have no life right now since business sucks so I'll probably be lurking on here more often than prior. Hehe.

I'm surprised people don't prefer pure str knights more often honestly. They're dangerous when built based on str. Their def and hp can still match up to everything an end/spr knight can or whatever other build.

TLDR; Voting does help, however, not as efficiently as hoped for. If anyone looks at ToG, they immediately look at the servers with the most votes, so right there they take an immediate interest seeming to "Ok, that server is populated..."... Great, we can get that down. But once they step foot in game, they want stuff to do. So to clear my point, lemme put it this way... A potential player browses the ToG list... Let's just say Core has 12,000 votes as opposed to all other servers having 10,000... GREAT! Then they read the details.. "Level cap is 105... awesome staff... etc etc." (I really have no idea what it says this is just an example)... They don't just want a populated server with awesome staff. They want a server that will keep them interested. With level 105 as cap, I personally do believe it's low. Most servers I see are mostly 110+, most are 120-130 if I remember correctly. Forgive me if I remember wrong though. To cap, it only takes a matter of a couple hours or days depending on your availability to play. Most things we do to level, we can typically farm our gear while doing also (i.e: SL, malephar, shadows, etc). Wonderful! Capped in a couple days and geared! Then probably a couple weeks to get some Malephar gear. So let's say 2-3 weeks time to get all of that done. Now, what is there to do to benefit themselves....? Nothing since everyone already helped themselves for the most part. I think it's not so much the advertisement or player base, but more so what is offered to the players. I believe if raids and dungeons aren't so focused on lower levels and perms but rather implemented towards higher levels, we can make more content for more cap raises/patches as well as making a server that keep the players occupied til the next patch or whatever. To sum it all up, I don't believe it's voting that is the main issue towards getting the server populated again. It all has to do with adding more stuff for us higher levels to do. Of course, we have Karen and the new raid, but, in all seriousness, she's a bitch to kill at only 105. (at least that's what I hear. I haven't tried yet with anyone so I'm going off of hearsay) Increase the cap, focus more on making dungeons and raids for higher levels, and I truthfully believe it'll bring a lot of who we lost, back, and then some.
