  1. For as long as I could remember, I don't recall shield skins ever showing enhancement glow.

Occasionally even custom made weapon skins don't, I know they do here so +1 to that.

As far as durability goes, I don't believe there is one. Kinda hard to imagine what a shield skin's durability would 'tick' the amount from anyways. As long as the stat bonuses change when equipping it, it should be fine. The text description can say virtually anything but it doesn't always reflect the item itself.

  2. Only suggestions I have are either increasing the drop rate, or cutting the spawn time down. Making an instance requires more work than either of those and with said addition asking for either of the other two become an obsolete matter.

As far as the 110 sets go, I'm pretty sure that the base stats should mimic 114 greens entirely. In some cases they're actually worse than both ML's and 114 greens, not entirely but only certain aspects. I know that every prestige suffers drastically from one of the three base stats whether it be def, mdef, or evasion when wearing that in place of the other two.

The set effects are actually incorrect on some sets, most reflective would be the Knight/Gladiator set. The set effects we have now on them were actually released with the content back then, but adjustments were actually made on those two particular sets that I remember. I would suggest checking back over what sets give bonuses to what skills. As a gladiator it makes no sense to have a set that offers bonus effects to Degro Slash because 1) it's a skill I don't get upgrades for because of my prestige and 2) a skill that requires me to wield a weapon I don't use past my prestige (traditionally).

Anyways, that's my two cents. Get yourself a soda m8.

What better way to spend your holiday break than by playing Core? That's why we're raising the EXP and drop rates to 1.5x the normal rate, and 2x during in-game events, until January 4th!  We may distract you from grinding at times with our festive events both in the game and on the community forum...

Might double check this at the moment, the exp boost disappeared I think. x:

  4. Upon receiving this quest from Town Chief Adrian in Uruga at level 112, you're asked to deliver an item to an NPC in Kahal Plains. Once accepting the quest, the command prompt displays a message basically saying that there was an error in creating the item. It does not appear in your inventory currently. The bigger issue is that if you attempt to open your quest log, the game closes instantly.

  5. This thread is so much win.

I'd like to throw in my supporting factors as well.

Leveling is leveling, make it too easy and everyone gets bored, fast.

Make it too hard and most (but not all) lose their motivation and start weighing in the worthwhile of it.

Currently, there's only skill upgrades and bragging rights to be had. I'm overly fortunate that we've at least got SOMETHING as a reward. All I can ask is that things eventually continue to add to the reward list. I know a lot of us squawk about new gear and armor, we aren't joking. A 114 green weapon is the only significant improvement beyond ML gear. If you say "well not everyone is geared in ML's" my rebuttal is that this server has been officially released just short one week of a year now. If you don't have ML's or sufficient armor, you're either brand new or never tried to obtain it somehow. This reboot seems to be designated directly at our older community so I feel like those suggestions should be taken more seriously. Anyone can cap here if they really try, but if you lose more than you gain (post 110 with out leveling HG and Secret Lab) then what was really achieved? In conclusion, the rates and amounts could stay the same but if they do PLEASE offer more than just blank screen mob grinding. Leveling can be fun if it's made to be!

I'm not sure how many of us have seen Burning Adealia in it's retail form, but one thing everyone needs to know is that with these files, it cannot be replicated piece by piece. Any time I've ever seen it available on a server it's been tweaked to be completely different and sometimes even drop other things. The possibility to create custom content can only be used with what's already available to staff. Even then it'd need to be tested thoroughly to make sure everything is set the way it's expected. So something like this wouldn't happen overnight, but there could also already be plenty of things in the works that haven't been finished yet.

I've been through the luxury of having 25-30 people there to kill Normal Malephar and it be a 5-10 minute raid total. Annnnd I've been there where you're essentially solo'ing it and after about 45 minutes you're awarded a 1 int 2h. The difficulty makes it so that you have to be a somebody to do it. Step by step anyone could build themselves up to do any of these raids. I say that but I still feel like Focalor is a bit over the top. For a gladiator who's geared beyond reasoning, I can actually still be one-shot by it. I was told that it's damage had been nearly halved, but I've seen no difference. Better left to the staff on that one. Noitome was so worthwhile back then, coming back to find out the stat cap was changed for an unknown reason (to me) only made my will to want to kill that stupid thing lessen more.

So really, a more entertaining method of leveling, rewards for it, and maybe a better look at our current shared issues with certain world bosses. That seems to be something everyone can agree on, both new and old. I encourage everyone who has an opinion to express it, whether you agree or not. Feedback has always been acknowledged, I don't see it stopping now.

  6. I'd really love to sympathize and relate with you; as I love tricksters all the same, but there's a lot of opinionated reasoning mentioned that actually should just be blown off the board because of the status of the server.

As far as 'new/custom/different from retail skills and abilities go the only one I've seen on these files is Slip Away. Most everyone is familiar with what it does, and are either totally for it or against it depending on which side of the table you're sitting at.  I know at one point this skill was excluded from the list tricksters had for it's own reasons, not sure if it's still that way but let's just go ahead and say it is.

The skill you mention (vigor/force slash) happens to be a skill that's shown up on a different set of files of which I assume you probably already knew. Keep in mind that this server does what it can to refrain from an obtuse and custom feel but more of a nostalgic feel of what retail is/was. You do still get the skill when it's intended to be unlocked after you prestige. Personally, I don't think it's a game breaker at lower levels, but I also don't think it's going to help you anymore than another skill you already own does.

As far as trickster's statistics, we all know what they're known for. Every class has a strength and weakness, the best part of making a character is flourishing in your strengths and objectifying your weaknesses. Calling for a re-balance isn't how you pull off the latter. We've all started from scratch on something new and either chose to make the best of it or simply pick another class. You too have that option.

As far as leveling goes, it's a private server. There's really nothing else to add to it. I know that tricksters had a hell of a time trying to level (ideally 50-90 back when there weren't spammed repeats and instances) on retail but it hardly takes any elbow grease to get to 105. Soloing is just a milestone in the leveling life when you pick a melee class unless you choose a leveling partner who accommodates that.

In conclusion, once you prestige and you get everything you're asking for in this post you'll probably feel heaps better. So I wish you luck on that at least.  ^_^

  7. Pretty confident that the Point jewel set is obtainable from both Windy Cave and Gold Cave. Although from my experiences I've had better luck farming them in Windy Cave. Remember that both caves drop two different sets though. The Gabriel set also drops from Windy Cave, while the Strike set also drops from Gold Cave. So it may take a bit to collect everything you need.

  8.

-Helga needs his healing buff nerfed. His magic defense nerfed. His defense debuff nerfed. Also, he's a 119/120 boss or so but the level range to enter the map is 90/95-110. Either increase the level range to enter or lower his level. And there comes great difficulty in killing him already.

I feel like if the gate level limit was just raised to 115, nothing would need to be changed as far as HG himself goes.  Everything else mentioned looks good, hopefully it can be implemented or adjusted to community liking. :'D

  9. Torturer King and Giant Harpy are both lower drops rates because their drop tables are smaller than other dungeon bosses seeing as they only drop one level of a blue rather than two. Do I still think the drop rate should be increased to counter it? Sure sure, mostly for the reasons already stated of course. Mob Inx names are 'D_Torturerking' and 'D_Harpy' if that helps any. :v
