Download Core Fiesta
Download the launcher and log in - it fetches the game, keeps it patched and starts it for you. The full game, free to play. One Windows client that also runs on macOS and Linux; the launcher sets Wine up by itself, so there is nothing to configure.
1. Pick your system
2. Get the launcher
Windows 10 & 11
The installer is the easy way - it installs for your user only, so it needs no administrator rights.
Your browser may block the download. Chrome says the file "isn't commonly downloaded", Edge says it "was blocked because it could harm your device". Open the downloads list, click the … next to CoreFiesta and choose Keep (Edge then asks again: Keep anyway).
Then Windows may warn on first launch - "Windows protected your PC - unknown publisher". Click More info, then Run anyway.
Both warnings mean the same thing: we do not pay for a code-signing certificate yet, so Windows has no publisher name to show and the file is too new to have a reputation. Nothing is wrong with the download. It is a one-time step - once the launcher is installed, every later update is silent.
macOS
Paste this into Terminal and press Return. It installs the launcher into your Applications folder and opens it.
curl -fsSL https://fiesta.core.ms/launcher/CoreFiesta-macOS.zip -o /tmp/cf.zip &&
ditto -x -k /tmp/cf.zip /Applications && rm /tmp/cf.zip &&
open /Applications/CoreFiesta.appWhy the Terminal and not a button? We do not yet pay for an Apple developer certificate, so macOS blocks the app when a browser downloads it - and it blocks any helper we could ship to unblock it. Downloading through the Terminal avoids that mark entirely, so the launcher just opens. Nothing here needs your password.
Wine is handled for you. On first run the launcher downloads the Wine build this game needs and sets up its own prefix. You do not install CrossOver, Whisky or anything else.
Rather download a file?
Grab CoreFiesta-macOS.zip, unzip it and move CoreFiesta.app into Applications. macOS will refuse to open it the first time: go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and choose Open Anyway.
Linux
One download that runs on any distro, or a package for yours. Either way the game stays patched, and the launcher sets up Wine on its own - no Lutris, no winetricks, no multilib hunting.
First run Make it executable - right-click → Properties → Permissions → Allow executing, or chmod +x CoreFiesta-x86_64.AppImage - then start it.
Or install it for your distro
Ubuntu, Debian & Mint
Installs the launcher and our signed apt repository, so it updates with the rest of your system (sudo apt upgrade).
curl -fLO https://fiesta.core.ms/launcher/CoreFiesta-amd64.deb
sudo apt install ./CoreFiesta-amd64.debPrefer clicking? Download the .deb and open it with your software center.
Fedora
Installs the launcher and our signed dnf repository, so sudo dnf upgrade keeps it current.
sudo dnf install https://fiesta.core.ms/launcher/CoreFiesta-x86_64.rpmPrefer clicking? Download the .rpm and open it with Software.
Arch Linux
Adds our signed repository once. After that sudo pacman -Syu updates the launcher with everything else.
curl -fsSL https://dl.core.ms/corefiesta.gpg -o /tmp/corefiesta.gpg
sudo pacman-key --add /tmp/corefiesta.gpg
sudo pacman-key --lsign-key 704CA65F68C8D374EB370D1BC9073024D7CFE0BD
printf '\n[corefiesta]\nServer = https://dl.core.ms/arch\n' | sudo tee -a /etc/pacman.conf
sudo pacman -Sy corefiestaFlatpak
Both lines are needed: the second adds the 32-bit runtime the game itself runs on. flatpak update keeps it current.
flatpak install --user https://dl.core.ms/flatpak/ms.core.Fiesta.flatpakref
flatpak install --user flathub org.freedesktop.Platform.Compat.i386//26.08 org.freedesktop.Platform.GL32.default//26.08openSUSE & everything else
The AppImage above is the easiest choice here. If you would rather not use it, this portable build installs for your user only (no root) with a menu entry, and updates itself the same way.
curl -fL https://fiesta.core.ms/launcher/CoreFiesta-linux-amd64.tar.gz | tar -xz
CoreFiesta-linux-amd64/install.shOr download the .tar.gz directly.
Windows 7 & 8
A separate build, because newer Windows releases dropped support for these versions. It updates itself on its own track.
Your browser and Windows will both warn you - the download is "not commonly downloaded" and the app comes from an "unknown publisher". Choose Keep in the browser, then More info → Run anyway on first launch. We do not pay for a code-signing certificate yet; the file is fine.
On Windows 10 or 11? Use the instead - it is the one that gets new features.
What you need
Fiesta is famously light - it happily runs on almost anything, even a decade-old laptop or a low-end office PC. If it turns on, it probably plays Fiesta.
