Many People have been having problems with Sandboxie due to the new patches. This guide will explain how to fix this problem.

  • Open a Sandboxied Launcher
  • Now on your desktop look at the bottom right
  • Click the up arrow and find the sandboxie Icon
  • Right-Click it and hover over the Box you use (ex. Default Box
  • Now Click on the option that says "Delete Contents"
  • Now another window should pop up when it is done searching the files Click on Delete contents or whatever it says on the bottom of the window
  • Then try to reopen the launcher through sandboxie and it should work properly now.

If that does not work then open your C: drive and delete the sandboxie folder which is located there. This should 99% of the time solve the problem.

the latest one. 4.14.

Found this on SB forums, you could try it :

go into default box > Sandbox Settings > Resource Access > IPC Access > Direct Access and add these two new resources:

\RPC Control\ConsoleEvent-0x*
\RPC Control\ConsoleLPC-0x*

If it doesn't work, you could try with an older version from here http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?AllVersions

Just suggestions though, if someone else knows how to fix it, this is the error http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?SBIE2314, Windows updates tend to cause issues on Sandboxie.

I hope any of this helps you o:

I tried out the first solution, but it still didn't work. I got the same error again.

I did try older versions of SB before posting here. But they were not compatible with windows 8.1. I got as far as installing it with compatibility mode, but after installation, SB just wouldn't open. So i uninstalled and went back to the latest version.

Just to provide more information, I can run the launcher and key in my login details. After that, the launcher closes, the game client opens for a split second and closes, then I get the error pop up.

I'm running windows 8.1

My core fiesta is installed on (D:) drive.

(Does the error have something to do with the game being installed in (D:) Drive?)

I think I'm gonna cry  :(

Edit: It runs now. I went down the list of old versions and tried them one by one. 4.10 works for me.

Edit 2: Windows updated on my laptop, and now Sandboxie won't run. I'm back to square 1.  -cries-

This is way late but.... I had this same exact problem and I sat here for literally days trying to fix it. I tried everything; older versions, deleting contents, deleting the sandbox in the computer file, etc.. Well, after doing a shit ton of research, I learned that for some God forsaken reason, on windows 8.1 (at least on this laptop I'm using), it doesn't put the launcher and game files into the sandbox, it tries running it outside of it. So if you go into the sandbox file itself, and manually put the game into the sandbox it "should" work. I advise though, before doing that, delete all the files and content of sandboxie and redownload for a clean start. Otherwise you'll go crazy because it tends to throw the game files anywhere and everywhere. Why? I don't know. The error I was getting was SBIE2224 and SBIE2225, of which the sandboxie forums had no description of like they don't even exist/happen, yet they're there.
