    2. The Process
Level to 100. You now have a quest available from an Elemental stone. Talk to it, and talk to the others as required. Go to Blacksmith Marcudos and talk to him. Then go to Skill Master Paella and talk to her. Lastly, go to Item Merchant Geric and talk to him. Return to Kiera and talk to her. She asks you what is more important, and your character researches the answer. Go to Roumen and talk to Roumenus. He says Adventure. Go to Elderine and talk to Elbama. He says Ambition. Go to Uruga and talk to Adrian. She says Love. Go to Forest of Mist and talk to the Dark Elf. He directs you to Kid Woz. Go to Elderine and talk to Kid Woz. Click the "?" button on the top right corner in the launcher, on the next window that pops up click the "Core" logo. Open the Launcher again and let it re-patch. Do this as many times it's neccessary. Unless the patch server is down everything should work accordingly.

Screenshots will come later. But I will explain it first.

After downloading the new launcher , replacing the old one , and deleting reslauncher from the game folder , you start the launcher. This is where most people got lost , you will get a vote page. You NEED to vote on it. After done VOTING you will be redirected to the home page of the top games. ALL you need to do is to press the "HOME" button on the page (it's in the menu on the top of the page) , that will take you to the real launcher where you can finally login , and play.

    Have fun.

mucski reacted to Berserker in Mages' guide. Explanation and Advice.
    Hey all

This guide is made for those who want to learn more about their Mages. I will try to explain most of the important aspects for a Mage.

    >>Mages<<

Mages are the only Magical Damage class (Yeah I know Crusaders deal Magical Damage as well, but we don't have them here right?), they deal an enormous quantity of damage to enemies. Along with the Archers, they're able to deal DoT (Damage over Time) using their AoEs (Area of Effect).

However, their reputation is low during lower levels. Simply because their lack of Skills and Defense makes them way too vulnerable. They start to "grow" after Lv. 60. There is also something basic on this class which is...

    RUN!

Lets face it guys, the defense of a Mage will always be at the bottom despite on how much End you want to stack up. Along with the Archers, they must run in order to survive and kill.

But this is only a small con. If you keep reading, you will notice why.

    WEAPONS!

A Mage is able to use 2 different kind of weapons:

    Staff: (Higher aim) [WIZARD weapon]
Wand: (Higher Mdmg.) [WARLOCK weapon] (Lv. 20+)

NOTE: Class restriction starts after Lv. 100. Until then, you're free to use any of them.

    EVOLUTION!

Lv. 20: A Mage evolves to a Wiz Mage. After you complete your 1st JC you will be able to learn new skills and Wands are going to be usable.

Lv. 60: A Wiz Mage evolves to Enchanter. After you complete your 2nd JC you will learn new skills, this is when Mages start to "grow".

Lv. 80: An Enchanter evolves to a Diabolic Enchanter. No JC, upgrades of skills, and after you level up to 81, you will enjoy being a Mage even more (I will explain why later)

Lv. 100: This is when you have to pick between being a Wizard or a Warlock. You have to know some stuff before you pick one:

WIZARDS: PVE/AoE Class. Staff users. This class is known for having a wide range of AoE skills, you may pick this class if you like to AoE/DoT everything and summon Skeletons. They are known for being able to "Blink" in order to escape from a treat.

WARLOCKS: PVP/Single target Class. Wand users. They have an Immense power along with annoying skills such as Mesmerize, Metamorphosis, etc.

    STATS!

As I said before, the Mage class has an immense power. They start with the following Stats

    STR:  1
    DEX:  3
    END:  3
    INT:   10
    SPR:  5

    HP:  42
    SP:  45

As you may notice, their END is as low as their DEX, and of course, their weakest stat is STR, but don't worry about that, you're not going to need it.

Dat Int! They get a 10 in Intelligence, making them a powerful class.

The Stats you will empower will depend on what you want.

    PURE INT:

This build is made to burn down your opponents. Mages' magical damage is insanely high with this kind of build. If you're able to find good gears, go for it.

    PURE DEX:

Mages often have troubles dealing with enemies that reach them, specially Fighters on PvP. Their low defense doesn't back up the terrible stack and debuffs of a Fighter. The best way to deal with them would be having a higher Evasion than their Aim, reason some people picks this build.

    PURE END:

Once again... Mages' defense isn't high. People defines a Mage with capabilities to tank as a "Mank", I seriously never tried an END mage before, this may only be worth it if you're able to obtain good gears... but I don't know.

    HYBRIDS:

A combination of different stat empowerments.

    25 SPR rest INT:

25 SPR should be added if you want an extra 5% critical rate. People uses this build so you can hit with many criticals while having a good Magical Damage.

    50 DEX rest INT:

Having a pretty cool Magical Damage and high Aim and Evasion, this build is pretty common on high level Mages.

    33 DEX rest INT:

People uses this if they want more Magical Damage but lower Aim and Evasion, this build is common on perm Mages 66-76.

25 SPR, 50 DEX rest INT.

A mixture between everything you saw above, 5% critical boost, high Aim and Evasion but pretty low Magical Damage as a result.

    WRONG BUILDS:

    Half/Half END INT.

Yeah you have INT, that's cool, but END? END should only be used ONLY if you're aiming to be a MANK which would mean plain END build. Empowering END and INT on a Mage is a waste of stat points in my opinion.

    All stats but STR empowerement.

Nope, don't do this. You will only obtain a small boost at every stat but STR, resulting in having low stats. Always try to focus on a stat.

    Anything related to STR.

    Mages don't use STR.

As for gear stats, either END DEX INT or END DEX SPR is cool. Try to focus more on DEX though, as if a Fighter reaches you, if he/she doesn't miss at all, it's probably over. Once again, you're a running class, you shouldn't try to tank, SPECIALLY on PVP.

    SWITCHING!

The process of Switching consists in using different kind of Blue Gears in order to use their effects while fighting. Now before I start, you must have in mind these aspects:

1.- Your latency or PING needs to be low enough so you can switch without a problem. If you have a high latency, you will NOT be able to switch fast enough and even your gears won't be equipping at all.

2.- SHORTCUTS.... This is a MUST if you want to switch fast enough, unless you got a fast hand so you can move through your gears and equip them without a problem, use SHORTCUTS instead!! (Check ESC menu)

3.- FPS: Having a low FPS is like having a high latency when switching, you may end up switching wrong and only equipping 1 item or even missing a piece, which may result in death.
Mages can switch too, but you have to be REALLY careful, as it will drop your defense even more.

Mages are able to Switch and it's worth it if you know how to do it properly and when to do it.

Useful Blue Gears to keep in mind:

INTELLECT SET: This set is my favorite one for a Mage. It increases the duration of your Drain Mind (Fear) skill. During high levels, it can last even more than a Fighter's 8 second Stun (If the skill is empowered) so switching to it when necessary is a good play.

SUN SET: Mages can get their spammeable Magic Blast on Lv. 81. Sun set increases the damage of the skill, so spamming it with this set sounds nice eh? HOWEVER this set often brings death to a Mage due it being Lv. 55 and dropping your defense even more. So using it on the right time is a must in order to survive.

Q: Where am I able to farm those?
A: Both Intellect and Sun Set are farmeable by killing Giant Orc Captain (located in Land Of Trials), Giant Goblin King (Concealed Peak) drops the Sun set and Giant Harpy (Trumpy Remains) drops Intellect set in case you're not able to farm GOC.

Intellect set doesn't need a Special Stat, Drain Mind always works on a player, but in case you don't want to lose many HP or SP points, you can try to get an END SPR set.

Sun set at the other side needs DEX stats, simply because equipping this set will drop your overall stats if you're using better gears on high levels. DEX will help you hit the target more often, but once again, BE CAREFUL.

Both sets need 3 pieces, so be careful while switching as well.

    SKILLS!

Just like any other class, the Mage has its unique Skills, I won't be providing an explanation of all, but I shall focus on important ones.

Magic Blast: The signature skill for Mages. This is a single-target basic non moving M.Dmg. skill which is learned at Lv. 49, however, this Skill turns into a moveable Skill on Lv. 65. When a Mage hits Lv. 81, this Skill turns into an spammeable skill. With a 1.2 second cool time if empowered.

Drain Mind aka Fear: This Skill allows Mages to cast a debuff on an X target, the target will run for seconds on random paths, allowing the Mage to escape from any danger. This skill should be empowered for PVP, as it never fails to be casted on a player. NOTE: It can fail on Monsters, specially on Elite/Hero/Chief and Boss monsters.

Stiffle: The "lag" skill. Using it on a player will cause him/her to have a delay when casting skills. For example, if you used it on a Fighter and he reaches and devastates you, depending on the Tier of your skill, Devastate's effect and damage will be delayed for X seconds, after those seconds passed, you may result stunned, HOWEVER, this won't delay their normal attacks "pokes".

Depending on what do you want to be at Lv. 100, you will have to empower different skills. Such as Mesmerize for Warlocks or Blink for Wizards.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CONCLUSION: Mages can be a powerful tool if used correctly, they may have poor defense, but their immense Magical Damage and AoEs makes them not only a hard opponent to defeat, but also a great party member.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~Clerics ~   Clerics are the healers and support personnel of the game. Being the only class who can heal others with major significance, it's important that clerics heal their party members. This can be both a good and bad thing Pro: Parties and generally people wanting to know you. Con: Soloing is a pain, people get touchy if you don't heal/buff them what they consider right. Lag ftw.   ~Partying~ Okay so most by now most would know clerics generally have less dmg than other classes.  This makes them ideal party members. So keep that in mind kiddies :3   ~Weapons~   Clerics have two (2) different weapons and a shield. Mace - Available level 1 - Cap (Starting weapon) Hammer - Available level 20-cap (Secondary weapon)   ~Milestones~   Lv. 20: Clerics become a 'High Cleric' after their job change. New skills, armor and weapons (Hammer) becomes available.   Lv. 60: Now your cleric is a 'Paladin' (The title says 'Supportive Paladin') after promotion. This is when a cleric truly becomes the gem of a party receiving their first party heal as well as upgrades to other skills.   Lv. 80: Clerics again gain another milestone, now a 'Divine Paladin'. No job change here and most skills just upgraded.   Lv. 100: Another promotion time (Yey!) This is the moment you get to choose what class you would like. Guardian or Holyknight.   Guardian: Supportive party class. Guardians use hammers & shields and specialise in higher tiered heals and party heals. Guardians prestige skill - Rebirth (Buff): Players are able to revive themselves with a percentage of total hp. Can be cast on self or friendly.   HolyKnight: The HolyKnight is the active party class. Using mace & shields they specialise in buffing and increasing the damage of a party. HolyKnight prestige skill - Deadly Blessing (aka 'Crit Buff'): Players recieve 100% critical for 10 seconds. Can be cast on self or friendly.   ~Stats~   Str: 5 Dex: 3 End: 4 Int: 1 Spr: 4   HP:  46 SP:  32   As you can see, clerics get a high boost in str/end/spr. This make them decent in both defence and dmg.    ~Builds~ Pure End: This build is for those who aim to be able to take hits while keeping their party healed. Ideal for the support cleric. However not boosting the spr can make your sp pool low so can be costly with buying sp stones/pots.   Pure Str: A build for clerics aiming to pack a punch. Mostly seen in perm clerics this build can be good, as long as you have the gear to back it up. Not bosting end/spr can lower your overall hp/sp pools however.   33 Dex Rest End A decent build provided  aim / evasion / hp and defence. A good builds for party clerics and also solo clerics.      25 Spr rest End: People use this generally for boosting both hp & sp. This build is useful for both support and party clerics.   Keep in mind clerics do not use Intellegence (Int) so there is no need to empower it.   ~Notable Armour Sets ~ Life set: 3 Pieces needed for main effect - Increases amount on Endure by set percentage. Safe set: 2 Pieces needed for main effect - Increases amount on Endure by set percentage.   ~Notable Skills~ Heal: First receive at level 3 and gain a new upgrade every 6 levels. Rejuvenate: Receive level 20. Upgrades every 6 levels.   Cure: Receive level 20. Upgrades every 20 levels until 60.   Endure: Increase a targets max hp/sp Revive: Receive level 20. No Upgrades. Protect: Receive level 11. Upgrades every 10 levels Resist: Receive level 17: Upgrades every 12 levels.

    ~Trickster~

Tricksters are an expert at dealing damage in a short amount of time. With every attack a trickster gains a soul, these souls can be used singularly or stacked in order to create more damage by soul consumption skills.

Pro: Good for dealing damage in short bursts, extremely helpful to mages at later levels due to skill compatibility, with enough +9 gear and evasion can be secondary tanks, high evasion.
Con: Soloing is a pain, not all that helpful until level 75+(See Notable Skills Section), low defence

    ~Partying~
Tricksters are a damage dealing class, makes them ideal for a party at any time of game. This is emphasised more however once reaching level 75. (See Notable Skills Section)

    ~Weapons~

Tricksters have 2 difference weapons available.
Claws - Available level 1 - Cap (Starting weapon)
Dual Swords - Available level 20-cap (Secondary weapon)

    ~Milestones~

Lv. 20: Tricksters become a 'Gambit.' New skills and weapons (Dual Swords) are now available.

Lv. 60: Your trickster is now a renegade (yay!). The title is called 'Soul Extractor' and tricksters now gain their first aoe skill.

Lv. 80: Another milestone. At this point tricksters gain a new title (Soul Collector) and upgraded skills.

Lv. 100: Another promotion time (Yey!) This is the moment you get to choose what class you would like. Reaper or Spectre.

Reaper: Uses the claws weapon. Reapers are ideal for pvp due to many of their new skills gearing to unleash lethal dmg on opponents.

Spectre: The spectre is the party prestige of the class. Utilizing dual sword the spectres skills are aimed to bring damage and debuffs to enemies around them .

    ~Stats~

    Str: 4
    Dex: 6
    End: 4
    Int: 1
    Spr:  3

    HP:  46
    SP:  24

As you seen tricksters get a big boost in both Dex an Str. Dealing damage from the beginning. However sp is low wich can be a disadvantage.

    ~Builds~

    Pure Dex:
Utilizes the naturally high evasion and aim of the class. The lack of str/spr however can lower damage output. Invest in a enhanced weapon.

    Pure Str:
This is a build that compliments the classes naturally quick attack rate, dealing more damage in a quicker time. The low dex can lower evasion and make you easier to hit, which is not good for the class as it has naturally low defence. Invest in end/dex gears

    25spr/ (33/50) Dex, Rest Str
A well rounded build that emphasises all the tricksters good points. Damage output, critical rate, aim and evasion.

Keep in mind tricksters do not use Intellegence (Int) so there is no need to empower it and due to not having a shield and naturally low endurance there is minimal reason to enhance the 'end' stat. You can gain this back from enhanced gears with 'end' on them.

    ~The Soul Capture System~
A key ability of the trickster is their ability to collect souls from their enemies. These souls are then used (consumed) to execute powerful finishing moves with increased damage.

    1 Soul: 100%
    2 Souls: 140%
    3 Souls: 180%
    4 Souls: 220%
    5 Souls: 260%
    6 Souls: 300%
    7 Souls: 350%

    ~Notable Skills~

Claw Swipe (weapon specified-claws): Obtained level 3. Upgrades ever 10 levels until level 83. Then every 8 levels until 99.
    Soul Collection Skill

Lacerate: Obtained level 5. Upgrades every 12 levels level 101, then every 5 levels.
    Soul Collection Skill.

Intimidation: (weapon specified - dual swords): Obtained level 20, upgrades every 10 levels until 100. Then every 5 levels.
    Soul Collection Skill

Soul Trap:  Obtained level 75 and upgrades every 5 levels until 85. Then 6 levels.
    Soul Consumption Sill.

*Note* Soul Trap is the tricksters well known 'freeze/ice' move. This skill enable a trickster to freeze an enemy as long as they have the 'slowed' debuff. This skill is what makes them a mages partner in crime so to speak.

~Archers~   Archers are an aid for any party with an assortment of skills and the ability to summon the forces of nature to protect them and fellow members. They are a tactical class that specialises in dangerous long ranged attacks and strategic support.   Pro: Good for dealing damage in over a period. With good enough +9 gear and high evasion can be secondary tanks. High evasion and aim. High attack speed   Con: Soloing is a pain up to level 51 Low Hp, Defence and Magical defence Weak against AoE's   ~Weapons~   Archers have 2 difference weapons available.  Bow - Available level 1 - Cap (Starting weapon)   Higher aim and quicker attack speed   Crossbow (xBow) - Available level 20-cap (Secondary weapon) High damage and critical.   ~Milestones~   Lv. 20: Archers become a 'Hawk Archer' New skills and weapons (Crossbow) are now available. First AoE: Multi-Shot now available.   Lv. 60: Your Archer is now a Scout. The title is called 'Rapid Scout' and archers now gain their chain cast skill amongst others.   Lv. 80: Another milestone. At this point Archers gain a new title (Supersonic Scout) and upgraded skills.   Lv. 100: Another promotion time. This is the moment you get to choose what class you would like. Ranger or SharpShooter   Sharpshooter: Uses the bow weapon. Specialises in damage output and is skilled in PvP.   Ranger: Uses the crossbow weapon. Specialises in greater base damage, more AoE's and mob control.    ~Stats~   Str: 4 Dex: 6 End: 4 Int: 1 Spr:  3   HP:  46 SP:  24       ~Builds~   Pure Dex: Utilizes the naturally high evasion and aim of the class. The lack of str/spr however can lower damage output. Invest in a enhanced weapon and or outfits/accesories    Pure Str: A build that emphasises the Archers natural high damage. Ideal for both bow and crossbow uses. Investing in enhanced armor covers defence and ensuring end/dex/spr stats will cover the stats not built upon.   25spr/ (33) Dex, Rest Str A well rounded build that emphasises all the Archers good points. Damage output, critical rate, aim and evasion. Invest in enhanced end gear to cover defence.   33dex / Rest End A solid build for archers wanting to be able to take some damage while still dealing large amounts of damage.    ~Notable Skills~   Aimed Shot: Level 3 - Cap (Sharpshooter only 100+). Upgrades every 11 levels. Power Shot:  Level 7 - Cap (Sharpshooter only 100+). Upgrades every 12 levels.    Poison Shot: Level 11 - Cap. Upgrades every 10 levels. Bone Shot: Level 15 - Cap. Upgrades every 10 levels. Venomous Shot: Level 40 - Cap. Upgrades every 8 levels.   Natures Mist: Level 51 - Cap (Ranger only 100+). Upgrades every 8 levels. Piercing Shot: Level 75 - Cap (Ranger only 100+). Upgrades every 5 levels.
